Use of Information
We understand and respect the importance of maintaining your privacy and keeping your information confidential. We will only collect information from you when you have knowingly provided it to us, such as subscribing to our newsletter. All information collected is used solely for the purpose of processing orders, accepting donations or to inform our email subscribers and customers of special offers. We will not sell, share, or rent any personal information with any other companies or third parties without your authorization.
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number) on our order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer (SSL) technology.
We follow accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
If you have any questions about security on our website, please call us or email us.
Credit Card Information
For safety, we do not store your credit card information. It does have to be saved, however, in case you need a refund or to change your order. When entered on our secured payment page your credit card number is sent through Braintree, verified, and your order is processed. Braintree is the leading provider of secure online transaction services. During the checkout process, look for the https (the “s” added on to the normal http), which tells you a web page is secure. We also use a third-party shipping provider to ship the products ordered on the site.
In certain use cases a user must complete a registration form to finalize checkout. During registration, you will be required to provide your contact information, which includes your name, email address, telephone number, and street address. This information is used to provide you with services such as automated order status updates via email.
Most of the information collected in the registration process will be used to process orders. During the order process, you will have to provide financial information such as your credit card number, expiration date. This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill your order. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this contact information to get in touch with you.
To properly process your credit card information, we must share your personal and financial information with the merchant bank for authorization and approval. This process is protected by an enhanced security system. See the Security section below for more details on security measures and procedures. We do not share your personal and financial information with any third parties.
