Friends of SAC Memberships

The Sawtooth Avalanche Center (SAC) could not exist without fundraising from the Friends. Your membership pays for avalanche forecaster wages, equipment expenses, website operations, weather station maintenance, and many of the day-to-day operational costs of running the avalanche center. In addition to providing direct support to the SAC, we use our funding to further promote life-saving avalanche information and education throughout central Idaho.

If you read the avalanche forecast, have taken a class from us, or are passionate about promoting access to public avalanche information, becoming a member is the best way to show your support. Recurring memberships are vital to our success because they provide consistent, reliable sources of funding that we count on to plan for the future. Members help us drive our mission forward, realize our vision, and build the best avalanche center in the West.
