Avalanches kill more people on National Forest land in the United States than any other natural hazard.
February is the month when the most avalanche accidents tend to occur.
We are addressing this statistic by hosting a week of pay-what-you-can community avalanche education events.
Check out our facebook page or events calendar to learn more about all of the opportunities for learning between February 10 and 17. Here’s the basic lineup:
- Saturday, February 10: Baldy Beacon Practice North Face Beacon Park on top of Bald Mountain 10am-2pm
