About Us
Our Mission
Friends of the Sawtooth Avalanche Center is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides direct support to our local avalanche forecasting center. Our mission is to support the Sawtooth Avalanche Center and promote life-saving avalanche safety information, education, and outreach throughout southern and central Idaho.
Why donate
The Friends of SAC funds about 50% of the Sawtooth Avalanche Center’s annual operating budget.
Your donations directly support the Sawtooth Avalanche Center and allow us to provide free weather forecasts, avalanche forecasts, and avalanche education in our community.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us meet our mission, and every donation, no matter the amount, could save a life.
